Registration is required.  Call 717-964-3808 to register no later than 24 hours before an event or e-mail the park at governordick@hotmail.com and leave your name and phone number.  Payment for programs can be made the day of the program.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The Environmental Center is open weekends in March, Saturday 10:00 a.m. to
​4:00 p.m. and Sunday 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

The ADA boardwalk is closed due to a structural issue.  When that is corrected, it will reopen.



Beginning Orienteering Class

March 26, 10:00 a.m.          $5 for the orienteering map

If you would like to learn what the sport of orienteering is all about and how you can participate, join us for this class led by the Delaware Valley Orienteering Association.  You'll get a chance to try out your new knowledge on a beginner course.


Music by the Fireplace Bluegrass Jam

April 2, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.          Free

Enjoy the sounds of bluegrass music and sing along, too.  Pickers are welcome!

Volunteer Work Morning

April 15, 9:00 a.m. to Noon

Our main focus for this morning will be cleaning wildflower seed for a new section of wildflower meadow, but we could also use a few hands for trash clean up and trail maintenance.

Fitness Hike

April 16, 10:00 a.m.            Free

This is a faster-paced hike of 4 to 6 miles or more.  Bring water.  Our trails are rocky and hilly.

Golden Eagle Hikers
​April 30, 1:30 p.m.           Free

This is a hike of 2 to 3 miles for folks over the age of 50.  This is where you get to yell at the hike leader and tell him to "Slow down!!" and "Wait for me!!"  We go at a gentler pace and enjoy the scenery along the way.
