                                              Part-Time Naturalist and Office Manager

 Job Description:  In addition to overseeing the bookkeeping and record keeping, you will provide quality programs to all ages, from preschool and school-age students to adults interested in learning about all aspects of the outdoor world.  You will oversee the operation of the Environmental Center and interact with visitors as well as create engaging, educational displays.  We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Key Responsibilities:

  Develop, implement, and schedule programs of all types.
 Maintain cleanliness and safety of Environmental Center and other program areas.
 Record attendance numbers.
 Maintain website and promote the Park through social media.
 Create and publish quarterly online newsletter.
 Receive and record fees.
 General site upkeep.
 Oversee the volunteer programs and volunteers.
 Serve as secretary to the Board of Directors.
 Maintain educational supplies and keep inventory records.
 Promote the Park and its programming.
 Ensure timely advertising.


 Energetic, inspired to learn and teach.
 Ability to work well independently and as a team.
 Passion for the Pennsylvania outdoors.
 Excellent written and verbal skills.
 Ability to communicate with a variety of audiences.
 Willing to play and learn with children of all ages.

Compensation:  This part-time, seasonal position averages 92 hours per month April through November with the likelihood of additional hours.  Winter hours are reduced.  Salary is negotiable according to experience.  Benefits include working in the outdoors, a flexible work schedule, and paid training.  There are no health benefits with this position.
