​​​​Webelos Scouts, Brownies and Junior Girl Scouts

The Environmental Center at Clarence Schock Memorial Park is the place to come for a unique and fun way for your Boy or Girl Scout to earn their badges.  Our 1105 acres of woodland provide a fascinating setting for learning and discovery opportunities.  The cost is $75 for 6 to 10 Scouts; $5 for each Scout above that number.

Into the Woods - Discover the importance of trees to wildlife and humans.  What is the role trees play in the environment?  Learn the story growth rings tell of a tree's life history.  What does a tree need to grow so large?  

Into the Wild - A naturalist is one who studies plants and animals in the wild.  Hone your wildlife watching skills and learn to identify birds and mammals of Gov. Dick Park.  Are there any poisonous plants or venomous reptiles here?  How do birds migrate?

Brownie Badges

Bugs - Discover the likable side of insects by learning all about these misunderstood creatures.  goon a bug safari and do a bug craft.

Hiker - Explore the world of hiking by learning about gear, maps, and energy sacks.  then try out what you have learned. 

Wonders of Water - Learn about the water cycle and how you fit into it.  Create a rainbow.  Become water wise.  

Junior Girl Scout Badges

Animal Habitats - Investigate meadow and forest habitat.  learn what wild animals live in the park and what their habitat needs are. 

Flowers - Identify wildflowers and study a flower's anatomy.  Learn how flowers help people, and create a flower craft.
